“We interrupt your day for this very important message:
Warning: In case of engine failure, try BELIEF.”
Yesterday I saw a sign that read “if your dream doesn’t scare you, it isn’t big enough.”
That’s one of the best quotes I’ve seen in awhile. Going after our dream can scare the heck out of us. And I’ve learned it firsthand.
Do you think you are in control?
While most of us are busy using our conscious analytical mind to get to where we want to go, our subconscious mind is running the show. (Hey, that rhymes 🙂
Okay, so this is a tough one.
Let’s say for example that you want to have a better relationship, or a better work environment, or a better business, or just about any other thing that you may want in life.
And maybe you are looking at others and thinking things like:
“If only my partner was a better person…”
“If only my boss was a nicer guy…”
“If only my customers were better customers…”
BUT, the reality is that it’s not about them. Drum roll please…
Mark is a very inspirational speaker, who can help to shift a person’s mindset in a positive direction just by listening to his infectious enthusiasm.
Which reminds me of the philosophy that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.
Sometimes when we are trying to achieve something that is very important to us, we can become very anxious. We want to get to the goal as soon as possible. But our level of anxiety can get the best of us.
Although we could all use some motivation, when it gets to a level where we are anxious it has the effect of a puppy that is trying to run quickly on a shiny floor. We may not get very far when we are virtually running in place.
Do you ever find yourself trying to reach a goal, but you run out of “steam”?
Perhaps you were really inspired when you started, yet for some reason that inspiration has slowed down a bit.
Those are the moments when you need to find your “Why”. In other words, what is the inspiration behind what it is you are trying to accomplish? Is it for your family? Is it for a higher purpose?
