Lost in a sea of confusion. It happens to the best of us. If you’re feeling confused over the steps to take to live your true calling, you’re not alone.
You can get so caught up in your head that you’re not listening to your heart, and often because you don’t trust it. If you really sit still and listen to that little voice inside of you, it TELLS you what the answer is.
I’m sure you’ve felt it giving you that “nudge”. Reminding you every now and then that it’s there, but you’re not trusting it. You’ve pushed it aside in disbelief, because you just can’t believe that something that you actually feel excited about is the direction you should go in.
But that’s where you’re going wrong, and I’ve done it too. It may be a subconscious limiting belief such as “can I REALLY make money doing that?” Or, “I have to work hard for money”. And then there’s the ever-popular “but what about security?”
Nothing in life is truly secure, but I’ll tell you one thing: This life is fleeting. Just ask an old person, and chances are there will be regrets over things they DIDN’T do.
And speaking of the subconscious mind (which is a million times more powerful than the conscious “analytical” mind), that’s where our emotions are. So when you FEEL that emotional guidance, that’s actually that powerful part of you that’s worth listening to. Just think of the times you had that “gut” feeling about something and it was right.
For years I heard that voice. For me it started when I was in corporate, and then it even followed me when I started my business, which is called: Blissful Publications. the name was inspired by the Joseph Campbell quote “follow your bliss and the don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be.”
I knew that helping you to live your purpose would be my passion. But, I went in other directions that seemed more “logical” (right back in my head again instead of listening to my heart).
Business taglines went from “Guiding You To Your Purpose”, to “Live Your Heart Love Your Life”, to “Be Free To Live The Life You Love”. Notice the common thread?
Yet I didn’t quite believe it until I came to the breaking point of realizing that nothing else was working for me. What an “aha” moment. So then it was “gee, I guess it can’t hurt to actually focus on what my heart keeps telling me.” So, I’m all too familiar with ignoring my inner voice.
And if you’re not using a God given gift that you were born with, then how are you NOT serving the world by ignoring that inner voice? What about the people that could be positively impacted with your gifts that won’t receive that benefit?
If you’re struggling to find your inner voice, or you’re feeling stuck, I invite you to schedule a complimentary clarity session at: WorkLifeAbundance.me. Let’s get out of your head and into your heart, and get on track to serving the world in a way that’s totally aligned with who you really are.
